Below are 7 Powerful ways that will transform your decision making results that will not only enhance the quality of your life but also allow you to take better control of your life. Being able to make better decisions provides us with the benefit of independence, helps us to accomplish more things in life which ultimately will bring more happiness and success into our lives.

1. Improve your self-confidence

~ Believing in yourself is an important aspect of making better decisions. Building your confidence is like building a muscle. You must practice making difficult decisions in order to build your self-confidence.

2. Start with the end in mind

~ What result do you want to accomplish? Start from there and work back.

3. Avoid over thinking

~ Analyze the situation, however do not allow your analyses to cause paralyses. Give yourself a certain amount of time and when that time is up, make your decision.

4. Act on your decision immediately

~ After making your decision, act on it immediately to avoid changing your mind or doubting yourself. This will strengthen your decision making muscle.

5. Do not be afraid to make split-second decisions

~ There will be times when you don’t have time to analyze a situation. Allow your life experience, knowledge and training to kick in. Making split-second decisions doesn’t mean you’re irresponsible. It means you are confident in your decision making abilities.

6. Make your own decisions

~ Avoid letting others make decisions for you as this can and will be crippling in the long run. This is a perfect way of deteriorating your decision making muscle. It’s fine if you want to take others opinions into consideration, however the ultimate decision is yours to take.

7. Stick to your decision

~ Avoid the blame game or guilt trip with yourself once you’ve made a decision. Stick to your decision and trust you made the right choice. This skill set will impact your ability to make better decisions in the future.

Decision making means, in the last analysis, the substitution of thought for brawn and muscle, of knowledge for folkways and superstition, and of cooperation for force. It means the substitution of responsibility for obedience to rank, and of authority of performance for the authority of rank. Whenever you see a successful business, someone once made a courageous decision ~ Peter F. Drucker
